Q. Who are the people behind this and what are their qualifications?
A. This is an initiative by Sid Khullar, who was himself struggling with obesity, diabetes, hypertension and other related disorders for many years. After extensively observing his own behaviour patterns along with those of others, over a period of 10 years, Sid found that the key lies in childhood conditioning, current psychological status, current cultural status in addition to past and current dietary patterns. These findings Sid used on himself, changing his lifestyle, nutrition, conditioning and many other aspects of his being, ending up successfully losing over 40 kilos, and putting his diabetes and hypertension into reversal, without any specialist intervention. He’s now off all medication, and has kept off the excess weight for over two years and running. He’s just finished writing the first edition of a book that answers weight loss questions, and which will shortly be made available for download. Sid has a background in software research and development for medical electrophysiological diagnostics, has extensively studied and written on food and its consumption, (over a million words) has completed prescribed courses of study on nutrition, children’s nutrition, diabetes management, obesity management and nutrition during pregnancy among others, in addition to being a master trainer for various behavioural programmes for personal change.

What works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another at one level. At a high level, the basic method of weight loss, i.e. via burning more calories than those consumed, applies to everyone. The number of calories that will result in weight loss will likely be different for different people. The initial vitamin and mineral deficiencies too will be different and so will their allergies, preferences etc. The issue arises when we end up reducing our basic nutrition in an effort to reduce calories. This is because we don’t know which are the nutrient dense foods we must consume, when trying to reduce calories.

We therefore work with Indian and where that’s unavailable, International nutritional guidelines around which we have systems that create custom diet plans for different individuals. These will ensure the recipients enter states where they’re burning more calories than they’re consuming, while ensuring optimal nutrition levels. The high level methodology has been vetted by professionals in their fields, including psychologists, dentists, nutritionists and sports medicine specialists, to ensure it is safe, sustainable and effective.

Q. Who is in your expert panel?
A. Our expert panel consists of Dr. Binti Jhuraney, a Dentist who combines Ayurveda, nutrition, dental and overall health in her practice. In addition to being a qualified Dental Surgeon (BDS), Dr. Jhuraney also has a Master’s Degree in Alternative Medicine. She has herself beaten PCOD, that causes distress to a great number of women, in part due to its weight inducing properties.

Q. Where is your head office?
A. Our head office is in Sector 18, NOIDA, UP.

Q. Do you give refunds?
A. Yes, we have a 100%, no questions asked refund policy, valid up to the time your first plan is delivered. We cannot issue refunds after your plans have started. Please check out our sample plans prior to signing up.

Q. How does the process work?
A. After you subscribe to a plan, we’ll send you a mail to acknowledge your subscription, which will include a link to an information form. This mail will reach you the same day as the subscription, or the next day, depending on when you signed up. After you fill the form and send it to us, we evaluate the information within and will then ask when you’d like to schedule your welcome call and initial consultation. After the call happens, your plans will start soon after. On the designated day, we’ll send you your first plan and every week on the same day thereafter. This is the only automatic component of the plans. All the rest are fulfilled on demand; i.e. whenever you wish to avail the service, we will schedule and make it available. Leftover services do not carry over to the next month even if the plan is renewed.

Q. How are your plans made?
A. We use Indian and international nutritional data to make our plans. Step 1 is when we enter all your details into our system. Based on this, an initial calorie counted plan is created based on your dietary restrictions. This plan is then edited for your culture, location, preferences, medical conditions etc. and also balanced for calories versus nutrition. Your consultant will then email you the plan, with notes on the meals plus advise you about any supplements you may need to take based on plan deficiencies. Depending on person to person, plans can be balanced to 100% daily nutritional completeness or less. If less, supplements required will be indicated on your plan sheet as well. All our plans contain highly precise nutritional data. Additionally, if you need substitutes for foods to introduce variety during the week, just ask your consultant and we’ll send you a list of substitutes for all the elements in your plan.

Q. What are the modes of payments you accept?
A. Currently we only accept payments via Payumoney, which in turn accepts UPI, debit cards, credit cards, netbanking as well as digital wallets.

Q. Do you accept direct bank transfers?
A. No, we do not accept direct bank transfers, except in the case of foreign citizens whose cards are not being accepted by Payumoney.

Q. Your plans are a day’s plan that I have to follow for 7 days. Can I get a 7 day plan with different meals each day?
A. Our plan packages are based on the time and effort spent to create a nutrition and calorie balanced plan for every 7 day period. Creating a well balanced plan takes a great deal of time and effort. Please ask your adviser for a substitution chart. The chart contains a list of all the foods in your last plan, with an exhaustive list of substitutes for each item. Please note that our clients are both in India and abroad; the list may include vegetables Indians consider exotic and those which those living abroad may find unfamiliar.

Q. I don’t like your format. Can I get a plan in a format of my choice.
A. We understand there exist individual preferences for document formats. At this point, we offer two plan formats, for which we would love to receive feedback from you. One is a detailed format and the second is a simple format. Later, we will offer more formats, from which you can choose one that works for you.

Q. Why is everything in grams? Why can’t we use glasses and cups?
A. Glasses and cups are measure of volume, not weight. Nutritional data, worldwide, is based on weight and therefore that is what we too use. Additionally, there are no standard sizes of glasses, cups or spoons. Therefore, using those as a standard unit of measure in our plans will not work. However, we realise that grams isn’t an easy measurement to stick to and have therefore included equivalents in the plan instructions based on accepted volume/weight equivalents, such as a tablespoon being about 15gm and a teaspoon being about 5gm. Therefore, for instance, 100 grams is 6 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons.

Q. Can we substitute foods or do we have to eat the same every day?
A. Both are fine. Some of us prefer building a routine around the same foods every day, and some of us like variety. If you like variety, know that substitutions are fine. Feel free to replace vegetables with vegetables, fruits with fruits and lentils/legumes with other lentils and legumes. Please do not however, substitute any grains or meats with anything else. If you do need a one time substitute, please speak with your adviser or simply request a substitution list based on your chart, which we’re happy to send you.
