Khaman Dhokla

You’ll need:

  • 4 cups rice
  • 1 cup channa dal
  • butter milk
  • Green chillies
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Soak the rice and dal for 12 hours.
  2. Blend with butter milk
  3. Add green chillies, ginger, garlic, salt, and turmeric (to taste) and steam cook
  4. When thick and completely cooked, cut into pieces and fry in oil with mustard seeds
  5. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves
