Fried Shrimps / Crevettes Frites

The last of the ‘Prawn Week’ series, this is a simple and quick recipe that can be modified according to your needs.

  1. Wash and drain the shrimp. Do not peel.
  2. Fry in hot oil for about a minute.
  3. Season [see note]
  4. Serve hot

Note: Seasoning can be something as simple as table salt, or a little more complex but readily available like garlic or onion salt. You could also consider sprinkling some paprika and some dry herb seasoning as well. Another method would be adding some seasoning to the oil while frying like fresh basil leaves for instance.
