In a clean dry bowl add milk powder, baking powder, maida and mix well.
Add beaten egg in the center along with yogurt and ghee.
Mix well using a spoon. Initially the dough will look a little sticky, leave for 5 minutes.
Grease your palms and plate and start making medium sized round balls out of dough.
Heat oil and fry on medium flame as its only milk powder it may burn if not taken care with flame. Keep stirring and when they turn golden brown remove in a plate. Keep aside to cool.
Prepare Sugar Syrup
Add water and sugar in a pan. Let it boil. Add cardamom and rose water.
When the sugar has completely dissolved add lemon juice, let it cook for 2 more minutes and then add cooled Gulab Jamuns.
Cook the Jamun sugar syrup for 5 minutes at least.
Turn off flame.
Gulab Jamun is ready.
Do not add Gulab Jamuns directly after frying into sugar syrup. Leave it to rest until cooled or else it will wrinkle.
