Mocha, DLF Phase IV, Gurgaon

[singlepic id=1726 w=80 h=92 float=left]The last time I visited Mocha was at Chennai where we found abysmal food and service. Mocha Gurgaon seems to be quite similar. The restaurant however, is done up quite well and I did like the decor of the ground and second floors. Quite a pity they didn’t choose to pay the same attention to their staff and food.

The shakes are the only redeeming factor at Mocha Gurgaon – the Miami Melon and Oreo cookie shakes were excellent. The food however is another story. We tried portions of Grilled Vegetables & Cous Cous Salad and Lamb Stew with Spanish Rice. The salad only had bell peppers and the Spanish rice wasn’t close to the original Mexican/Latin American dish. When asked, none of the staff could explain the lack of vegetables in the salad or the recipe for the Spanish rice… including the Chef.

Slow, uninformed service combined with below average food makes it an ideal destination for… no one I know.
