Olives from Spain is delighted to participate as partner at this year’s New Delhi Palate Festival (www.palatefest.com), the biggest celebration in Delhi of the finest and trendiest variety of food and drink offered by Indian Restaurants, Producers, Manufactures, Retailers, and Importers all around India. The Food festival is celebrating its third edition from February 10th to 12th at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Olives from Spain will count on its own stand at the Festival and will host live cooking shows at the Demo Zone of the same festival.
At our stand in the Palate Festival, D3, we will invite visitors to try Spanish olives marinated with an amazing dressing with olive oil, herbs and spices, inviting them to experience a virtual visit to Spain where they discover its yummy olives. At the tapas-hours, olives will be offered as a Spanish tapa, i.e. as accompaniment to a typical Spanish drink such as sangria or white wine. In this case, the non-alcoholic version of them.
As it has been the case in the two previous years, Chef Saby continues to be the Brand Ambassador for Olives from Spain in India and visitors will have the opportunity of attending his live-cooking demos at the Demo Zone of Palate Festival, they will learn how to prepare some of the most surprising and original dishes with Spanish olives as the secret ingredient that makes the dish so special.
The Palate Festival debuted in 2014 and endured its success over the 2015 event. After the response received, this festival edition is intended to prove itself as the Mecca for food lovers, where culinary experts, chefs, food critics and foodies will be able to enjoy cuisines of different origins and traditions under one roof.
Spain is the world leader in table olive production. It exports olives to more than 120 countries, representing 40% of the global market.
Olives from Spain have gained much greater presence in Indian kitchens in the last two years. In 2015, India imported more than 2000 MT of table olives, almost multiplying by 4 the amount imported in 2013. Spain has indeed a near to 100% market share in Indian imports of table olives.
